Long-established, RCVS-accredited independent small animal practice are seeking a confident, enthusiastic vet to join the friendly supportive team. The team consists of 20 vets and 15 RVNs, with loads of clinical expertise and a strong culture of professional development. The practice has lots of experience supporting new graduates and certificate study, so it's a great fit for any vet keen to grow. The role offers a 4 day week, with no routine OOH as Vets Now take calls after 7pm, and roughly a 1 in 8 inpatient duty rota without OOH client calls. There’s a weekday off, an early finish each week, 15-minute consult and dedicated surgical time. Initially, covering the main and hospital site, with flexibility to work across other branches if you want to. There’s no sole charge until ready, and the purpose-built hospital has excellent facilities including orthopedic and surgical theaters, a dental suite, DR X-ray, advanced ultrasound and cardiology kit, endoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, and separate dog, cat, and exotics wards. Clinical interests are actively encouraged, with a strong ultrasound caseload and a team that includes certificate holders in medicine, surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, and dentistry, with more in progress. Extra payments for inpatient duties, plus 30% of turnover for work outside normal hours, typically adding an extra £3K to £6K annually.
