Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon required to cover maternity – 9-12 month FTC – Essex – ER984

VetPro Recruitment are seeking a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to provide maternity cover at an independent practice in Essex from February 2026 on a 9-12 month FTC. Independent practice that is well established looking for a vet with post graduate experience who is confident managing their own caseload both surgically and medically. Working 28-30 hours per week over 3 or 4 days with fixed day(s) off. Saturday mornings (08:30 – 12:00) are on a shared 1 in 3 rota. No OOH required. Well equipped practice with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and in-house lab. Friendly, close knit team. On offer is a competitive salary, dependent on experience.
