Small Animal Hospital Veterinary Surgeon – South Wales – ER2549

Due to expansion a permanent Veterinary Surgeon is required to join a RCVS Small Animal Hospital in South Wales. The role is suited to a confident vet working a slightly different role from standard GP vet. Your time will predominantly be spent caring for hospitalised patients, managing medical workups, supporting the team with emergency admissions, creating treatment plans and seeing cases through from start to discharge. There is also the opportunity for you to maintain consulting skills and undertake surgical procedures. 24/7 hospital with a varied caseload and excellent equipment that includes CT scanner, orthopaedic and soft tissue theatres, exotic animal theatre, advanced ultrasonography and more. Large team of experienced Vets, RVNs and support staff. This is a permanent position working up to 4 days per week (36 hours), 1 in 5 weekends (9 hour consult shifts) and 1 bank holiday per year. This role is ideally suited to a vet who is confident making decisions and managing cases independently. On offer is a competitive salary, dependent on experience with generous benefits.
