Large Animal (Farm & Equine) Veterinary Surgeon – Herefordshire – ER1196

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent large animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a mixed animal practice in Herefordshire. You will see a varied caseload with the farm work being mainly beef cattle and sheep on small / medium size farms. Equine clients range from Thoroughbred and Standardbred trainers to pleasure-horse owners. You will also see a mix of goats, alpacas and backyard poultry flocks at small holders. The practice is modern and purpose built with well-equipped in-house laboratory and the facilities to hospitalise horses, calves and sheep. You will work alongside 4 Small Animal, 1 Mixed, 1 TB-tester, and 2 Large Animal Veterinary Surgeons along with excellent nursing team and support staff. This is a permanent position with flexible working patterns open to discussion but 1 weeknight per week on call and 1 in 4 weekends is required. Competitive salary dependent on experience.
