Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Manchester – HF2902

VetPro Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly team at a practice in Manchester. The duties will include carrying out consultations, operations, inpatients, and workups as expected for the level of experience. Ideally the candidate should be able to cope with most consults/routine operation without assistance. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days. The days are a mix of shifts including: 8:00am-3.30pm, 9:00am-4:00pm, and 9:00am-7.30pm. The weekend work includes working on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-11:30am and Sunday from 10:00am-11:00am and is worked in a 1 in 6-7 rota. There is a second on-call rota to give advice and support to the night Vets. You will be joining a wonderful and hardworking team made up of 11 Vets (1 Diploma Holder, 1 cert holder, 4 others sitting certs), 9 RVNs (most have exotic qualifications), 3 Student Nurses, 1 PM, 6 aux Nurses, 5 Receptionists, and 2 Admin Assistants. The ideal candidate must be a MRCVS as well as experienced enough to be able to do most routine surgeries/consults without additional support.
