Mixed Veterinary Surgeon – County Antrim – HF4043

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join a team in County Antrim. This role offers a truly mixed caseload with a good ration of 50:50, SA to farm. Large animal work comprises mostly dairy, with small amounts of beef, sheep, and some equine (if desired). This is a permanent position ideally consisting of 4-4.5 days per week, plus a share of an on-call rota. On average one day per week is dedicated to TB testing and most days finish around 5.30pm. You will be joining a supportive team made up of 8 vets (3 full-time small animal, 5 mixed vets) 1 vet nurse, 3 student vet nurses, 1 practice manager, and 6 reception staff. The practice is well-equipped including digital x-ray, small animal ultrasound scanner, haematology, and biochemistry machines and 4 large animal ultrasound scanners. Large animal handling facilities on-site allow good training for new recruits. The ideal candidate would be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, preferably with some previous experience in either a large or small animal practice however, the practice would welcome a motivated and enthusiastic recent graduate keen to develop their career and gain further experience. On offer is an excellent package including CPD allowance, paid memberships, and a competitive salary dependent on experience.
