Night/OOH Registered Veterinary Nurse – East Lothian - HF2718

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a small animal Night/OOH Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a wonderful OOH team in East Lothian. This is an opportunity to work on ECC cases within a 1st opinion practice. You will work alongside the night vet and will be responsible for a brand new out of hours provision based at the Main Site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring/caring for inpatients, triaging emergencies, monitoring surgical procedures, assisting the on-call vet, administering meds and IV fluids, preparing, and maintaining theatres, keeping excellent patient records and clear communications with owners, maintain a high level of cleanliness while providing unwavering care to patients. The rota includes working 7 x 12-hour shifts, with 1 week on and 1 week off. The shifts run on a 7/8 pm start until a 7/8 am finish. This Group has a dedicated, friendly team of 14 Receptionists, 10 Nurses and 15 Vets. The ideal candidate must be a qualified RVN and on the RCVS register, confident in sole charge and experience within OOH is an advantage. There is also an onsite flat and sleeping facilities available. VDS cover. RCVS fees. CPD allowance. Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
