Practice Manager/Qualified Senior Veterinary Nurse – Melbourne, Australia HF5685

Practice Manager/ Qualified Senior Vet Nurse Required for family-owned, small animal practice with a purpose-built animal hospital in North East Melbourne. Exciting opportunity to lead and work with a close knit team in a friendly, hardworking, supportive work culture in a fun environment. The practice is a short drive from the city, with cafes, restaurants and shops within a 1 minute drive from the clinic. Busy clinic with a varied case load, which offers many opportunities for a range of cases for advanced soft tissue and Orthopaedic surgery, Ultrasonography, Endoscopy and Dentistry. The team comprises of 3 full time vets and a part time locum, 3 qualified nurses and 3 trainee nurses. The role will include managing day to day operations of the clinic and client journey, Coaching and supporting our team of Nurses Vets and Work Placement Students, Overseeing stock management and ordering, practice management system and other administration duties such as client accounts, Recruitment, Rostering, Staff Training, Meetings and Staff Development, Nursing duties also required (surgical nursing, reception etc) plus more. Looking for someone with a positive, 'can do' attitude, to lead and drive the team with 2 + years of experience working in a Practice Manager/Team Leadership role. A certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) preferred but not essential and must have great communication and interpersonal skills. The role is full time and will involve working 38 hours a week Monday – Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift, shared amongst the nursing team with no out of hours, the practice is closed on public holidays including Sundays. Board IM3 Dental equipment, including a new Dental Xray Machine, Digital Radiography, In house Pathology, Ultrasound and Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Monitoring equipment.
