Consulting Registered Veterinary Nurse – Northumberland – HF914

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a welcoming team at a mixed practice in Northumberland. Your day-to-day duties will include performing nurse consultations at either the hospital or other branch surgeries, assisting Vets with their consultations, and helping to develop the range of nurse led clinics available to clients. This is a part-time position, and the practice are happy to offer flexible shifts. Ideally, this will be 2-4 days per week depending on your availability. The working hours can either be mornings, afternoons, or within school hours if that suits you! There are no requirements for out-of-hours or weekend work. This practice is well equipped with six consult rooms, laboratory along with wards to cater for cats, dogs, small mammals, and exotics. Plus, four large operating theatres with separate radiography, dental and ultrasound suites and an onsite hydrotherapy unit. The equine and farm departments are based out of the main hospital making it a busy and sociable workplace. You will be joining a large and experienced team made up of 25 Vets and 22 Veterinary Nurses working to complete the varied caseload. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse and will need to enjoy working as part of a team and be happy to work independently at other branch surgeries. Previous experience of a consulting-based role would be preferable, but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate. CPD paid days and allowance. RCVS Membership paid. VDS cover. Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
