An exciting opportunity has arisen for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic team in West Sussex. This is a permanent, full-time position with a flexible shift pattern between 8:30am-18:30pm over 3 to 4 days per week. There are some Saturdays required but no bank holidays, Sundays, or OOHs. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, and medicine with practical skills to diagnose illness, prescribe medicines, and perform imagining tests, laboratory tests and surgery. Everyday will be as varied as possible with the appropriate mix of duties. This is a busy hospital, dealing with 1st opinions and referrals and there are approximately 100 team members between the 7 sites. The specialist services offered at this practice include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue medicine and internal medicine. Plus, it is well-equipped with dental suite, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, on-site laboratory, spacious staff training room, and comfortable staff room. You will be joining a friendly team made up of 20 Vets, 25 Nurses, including Students. The ideal candidate will be a Vet with experience in small animal or mixed practice work, be a great communicator, and be good at problem solving whilst managing your time well. CPD allowance. BVA membership paid. VDS cover. Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
