Seeking an enthusiastic equine vet to join an independent purely ambulatory equine practice in the heart of the East Midlands. Offering you an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a highly supportive environment with state-of-the-art mobile diagnostic equipment. You will have a hugely varied and exciting caseload with no inpatients, covering several Olympic and international level sport horse yards through to leisure and companion ponies, together with racing yards. Out of hours is shared on a 1:4/5 rota, with a day off in lieu for every weekend or bank holiday worked. Whilst some experience would be preferable, the practice has an extremely helpful and forward-thinking team, including two vets working towards certificates, and have successfully supported several new graduates in the past (two of which are still at the practice), so can offer the level of support that suits you. With a friendly and sociable team, the practice is situated within easy reach of Nottingham city centre, and not far from the Peak District. The role comes with a fully equipped vehicle, mobile phone, generous CPD allowance; RCVS, BEVA, BVA and VDS memberships.
