Full time vet required for proudly independent small animal practice in Melton Mowbray. You are likely to have 2 dedicated operating mornings where consults are later on in the day allowing you to see your cases through and discharge surgical cases. You need to be confident in all aspects of first opinion medicine and surgery as there is some sole charge involved. Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience, preferably 3 with at least 1 year working in the UK. You need to be good at converting consults into procedures and happy to perform general surgery such as enterectomy, splenectomy, caesarians etc. Good ultrasound skills would be fantastic but not essential. A willingness to learn, and try new techniques is essential. There is plenty of scope to bring a unique skill to the clinic.You will work Monday to Friday, with one night a week and one weekend a month on call, time off in lieu after weekend worked.
